Over the last five years our small independently owned shop in the heart of Harrogate has hosted children's sewing parties, adult and children's workshops and one to one lessons.
Since we opened in August 2013, we have taught hundreds of customers’ essential sewing skills, creative techniques and the ability to have fun whilst sewing.
January 2019 was the start of a new, yet extremely rewarding challenge as I became a Mum. The shop on Station Parade closed and from Easter onwards I returned to host my children’s sewing club at Harrogate’s new fabric shop, Bobbins & Bolts on Kings Road.
The business is now online only focussing on children's parties and school holiday clubs using other venues around the Harrogate area.
If you would like to keep up to date via email please fill in our Contact Us form and I will send you updates on our latest workshops.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all my loyal customers for their support over the last six years. I have had so much fun teaching you all to sew and made some lovely friends.
Thank you Caroline x
The art of sewing and all things crafty came from my Nanna. From a very young age she taught me, knitting, crochet, patchwork, dressmaking and many more exciting crafts we explored together.
I loved all things art and textile related at school which lead me to University, where I achieved a Textile Design degree.
Turning a hobby into a business has been a dream come true, but hard work along the way. I am so grateful for all the support from my family and loyal customers. It has been a fantastic journey since we opened back in August 2013 and I hope it will continue for many more years to come, even now without the shop premises and family commitments.
Lucy loved having her 8th birthday party here, decorating handy bags with fabric paint and buttons! Lovely place!
Thank you for making my job easy. Caroline organised everything and was extremely professional. The girls loved it.
I have received so many messages today from parents shocked at what their child made at the party.
Loads of comments saying how amazing the party was, highly recommend.
My daughter, Sasha, recently enjoyed a fantastic birthday party at the Needlepoint Sewing Café in Harrogate. It’s a fantastic place – a real hidden gem. Caroline offers a huge variety of activities, it was hard to choose.
Thank you for teaching Charlotte to make a cushion today. She loved it.
Caroline recently came into school, where I teach year 3 children, and carried out a sewing workshop. The children all made a notebook cover with sewn on detail. The afternoon was lovely and Caroline was brilliant with all the children. The instructions were clear and all the children were able to produce a notebook cover, including those with Special Educational needs.
