Create your own mini quilt using patchwork techniques.
Week 1 – you will be shown how to;
- Cut fabric using a rotary cutter, ruler and mat.
- Sew a straight seam.
- Press a seam.
- Match seams.
- Create your design using squares, rectangles and rows
Week 2 – Once you have finalised your design you will spend this session adding a boarder and quilting on top of your patchwork.
Week 3 – In this session you will sew your front, back and wadding panels together, before adding a bias binding edge.
This is a great workshop for beginners or for people who want to improve their skills. The finished quilt is ideal for a new arrival, lap quilt or children’s play mat.
You will need to bring a 5 fat quarters in your chosen colours and patterns to the first session. You will need a backing fabric, wadding and bias binding for sessions 2 and 3. These measurements can be discussed in session 1.
